About the Job:
An opportunity has arisen for a Sommelier - commis to join the summer season 2025 of Jumeirah Capri Palace. The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:
• Assists with the Banquets operations, creating a profitable wine selection and building out the banquets list, communicating with sales on changes to the list/pricing, working closely with the Bar Manager to ensure proper ordering practices.
• Assists with end of month inventory.
• Updates and keeps track of wine cellars on property.
• Keeps up-to-date on wine trends and attend wine tastings.
• Ensures that all wine is served in proper glassware and in proper condition.
• Assists the Head Sommelier with staff trainings.
• Assists and cooperates with floor staff during service.
